Acceptable Use Policy

SPONSA is built for creators, and we want to keep it a safe and positive platform for everyone. Here's what you need to know about acceptable use.

Who Can Use SPONSA?

SPONSA is available to content creators who:

  • Are 18 years or older
  • Can legally receive payments in their country
  • Have a valid Business PayPal account that can receive funds
  • Create content that complies with our guidelines

Content Guidelines

SPONSA supports a wide variety of content creators. However, the following are not permitted:

Not Allowed:

  • Content that exploits or endangers minors
  • Content promoting violence, terrorism, or hate speech
  • Content that infringes on others' intellectual property
  • Fraudulent or deceptive fundraising
  • Content that violates applicable laws
  • Impersonating other creators or individuals

Allowed:

  • Gaming and streaming content
  • Art, music, and creative work
  • Educational content
  • VTubing and virtual content creation
  • Commentary/reaction and entertainment
  • Most content that's allowed on major platforms like Twitch and YouTube

Goal Guidelines

When creating tip goals, please ensure:

  • Goal descriptions accurately represent what supporters are funding
  • You make a genuine effort to deliver on funded goals
  • You don't create misleading or fraudulent goals

Your Responsibilities

As a SPONSA creator, you agree to:

  • Provide accurate information during signup
  • Keep your PayPal account in good standing
  • Respond to supporter inquiries in good faith
  • Report any fraudulent tips or suspicious activity
  • Comply with tax obligations in your jurisdiction

Supporter Guidelines

Supporters using SPONSA should:

  • Only tip using payment methods they're authorised to use
  • Not attempt to reverse legitimate tips (chargebacks)
  • Not use the platform for money laundering or fraud
  • Treat creators with respect

What Happens If You Violate These Guidelines?

Depending on the severity of the violation, we may:

  1. Issue a warning
  1. Temporarily suspend your account
  1. Permanently remove your account
  1. Report illegal activity to appropriate authorities

We review each situation individually and aim to be fair while protecting our community.

If you see content or behaviour that violates these guidelines, please report it:

  • Include screenshots or links where relevant

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy as SPONSA grows. We'll notify creators of significant changes via email or platform announcements.
