Account & Security
Keep your SPONSA account secure and learn how to manage your account settings.
How Login Works
SPONSA uses Google sign-in for authentication. This means:
- You log in using your Google account - no separate password to remember
- Your account security is tied to your Google account security
Keeping Your Account Secure
Since SPONSA uses Google authentication, your account is only as secure as your Google account.
We recommend:
- Enable two-factor authentication (2FA) on your Google account
- Use a strong, unique password for your Google account
- Review your Google account's security settings regularly
- Log out of SPONSA on shared or public computers
If you think your Google account has been compromised:
- Secure your Google account immediately (change password, review access)
- Check your SPONSA dashboard for any unauthorised changes
- Email us at support@sponsa.app if you notice anything suspicious
Changing Your Username/URL
Your username is part of your public SPONSA URL (sponsa.app/yourusername). To change it:
- Go to Settings β Profile
- Edit your username
- Click Save Changes
Note: Changing your username will change your page URL. Update any links you've shared.
Deleting Your Account
If you need to delete your SPONSA account:
- Email us at support@sponsa.app
- Include the email address associated with your account
- We'll process your request and confirm deletion
Note: Account deletion is permanent. Any active goals will be removed and your page URL will become available for others to use.
Suspicious Activity
If you notice any suspicious activity on your account:
- Secure your Google account immediately
- Check your PayPal account for unauthorised transactions
- Email us at support@sponsa.app so we can investigate
