SPONSABot for Twitch
Get automatic chat messages in your Twitch stream whenever you receive a tip or complete a goal.
What Is SPONSABot?
SPONSABot is a chat bot that sends messages to your Twitch live chat when:
- Someone sends you a tip
- A goal is completed
This helps your community see and celebrate tips in real time, even if they miss the on-screen alert.
Connecting SPONSABot to Twitch
- Log in to sponsa.app
- Go to Settings → Chatbot
- Click Connect next to Twitch (or toggle it on)
- Twitch will ask you to authorise SPONSA — click Authorize to grant the required permissions
- You'll be returned to SPONSA with a confirmation message
Adding SPONSABot as a Moderator
For SPONSABot to send messages properly (including links to your goals), you need to mod it on your channel:
- Go to your Twitch channel
- Open your live chat
- Type the following command and press Enter:
/mod SPONSABot
SPONSABot is now ready to send messages in your chat!
Customising SPONSABot
You can choose which events trigger chat messages:
- Go to Settings → Chatbot on SPONSA
- Use the toggles to enable/disable:
- Tip received messages
- Goal completed messages
- Click Save Changes

Troubleshooting
SPONSABot not sending messages?
- Disconnect and reconnect - Go to Settings → Chatbot, disconnect Twitch, then reconnect
- Log out and back in - Sometimes a fresh login fixes connection issues
- Check moderator status - Make sure you've run
/mod SPONSABotin your chat
Messages not including links?
SPONSABot needs moderator status to post links. Run /mod SPONSABot in your Twitch chat if you haven't already.
