Your Insights page has now received the full 2.0 treatment!
As promised when we launched 2.0, your Insights page has received a much needed overhaul. Read on below to see what's new.

Tips & Messages
The tab that used to be called Detailed Activity is now called Tips & Messages, which more accurately describes what you see here.
This one came straight from your feedback - we were asked more than a few times where to read the messages supporters leave with their tips, so we wanted to make it clearer. Your main page still shows any messages that were left publicly but to see every message across every goal (including private messages), head on over to "Tips & Messages" in your Creator Dashboard.

Matching a tip to a payment
If you've ever tried to line up a tip on SPONSA against a line on your PayPal or Ryft statement, you'll know the problem - two tips on the same day for the same amount look identical, and there was no reliable way to tell which was which.
Tips now open into a detailed view. Click any row and you'll get the full detail of that tip - who sent it, which goal it went to, their message in full, and its payment reference, with a copy button next to it. The reference is searchable too, and it's included when you export.
Copy it out of SPONSA and it'll find the payment. Copy a reference off your statement, paste it into the search, and it'll find the tip.

PayPal needed a little extra work to make that round trip complete. PayPal shows its own transaction number on your dashboard, but that number isn't shared with us (at least not immediately), so we had to implement a workaround - we now attach our own reference to each PayPal payment as its Invoice ID, so the same value appears in both places and you can travel in either direction.
Ryft tips have always reconciled cleanly, so nothing changes there.
Refunds tell you what they cost
The ability to directly issue refunds from your Insights page for payments via Ryft already existed, but we've overhauled the refund window itself to give you more information.
It's where you'd expect it now. The Refund button used to sit in its own column off the right-hand edge of the table, so you had to scroll sideways to find it. It's on the tip's detailed view now.
And it tells you what it costs. The old dialog gave you the original amount and a single line about fees. Now it breaks the whole thing down: the amount going back to the supporter, our 5% platform fee, and the Ryft fees on the original payment. Each of those is the real figure charged on that transaction rather than an estimate, which is worth seeing clearly before you decide.
Nothing about how refunds actually work has changed - your supporter is refunded in full, exactly as they always have been. The fees are what it costs you to do it, and now you can see them upfront rather than work them out afterwards.

Once a refund goes through, the tip stops counting everywhere it used to count - your earnings, the goal it funded, your supporter totals, the stats. The tip itself stays in your list, struck through, so you still keep the record.
Resend a stream alert
You can now resend any alert from the tip itself. One click and it goes straight back to your overlay, no confirmation step in the way - handy mid-stream when you spot one that didn't fire.
The chart
The chart's had the biggest visual change of anything on the page, and there's a lot more in it now.
Two views. The toggle in the corner switches between Revenue and Tips, so you can look at what came in, or at how many people sent it.
Six ways to look at it. 7 days, 30 days, 6 months, 1 year, All, and a custom range you pick yourself. All shows everything from your very first tip through to today, and if you've been with us a while it's a nice thing to see!
Custom ranges work at any length. Pick a range and you get the whole of it, whether that's nine days or three years. The chart changes how it groups the bars to fit, rather than stopping partway through.
Your average, drawn on. There's a dotted line across the chart showing your average for whatever period you're looking at, so you can see at a glance which months were above it and which were below.
Hover any bar for the detail behind it: what came in, how many tips made it up, your average tip for that period, and how it compares to the one before. Underneath the chart there's a running total for the period you've selected.

Top Supporters
This one's a brand new tab. Insights had two before - Goals Overview and Detailed Activity - and this is the third.
It's a leaderboard of the people who've backed you the most, with what they've given and how many times they've sent it.
Alongside it sits a set of quick stats:
- How many tips you've received, and your largest single one
- New supporters this month - people whose first ever tip landed this month
- Returning supporters this month - people who had tipped you before
- Top goal this month - whichever goal is pulling hardest right now

Goal totals show their working
If a goal has a starting amount, or you have made a manual adjustment to it, the goal now shows you how its total is made up: "£1,199 in tips + £250 adjustments".
It only appears on goals that actually have one, so most goals look exactly as they did. It's there to help reconcile tips when you've added adjustments (e.g. received money for your goal outside of SPONSA).
Goals also sort properly by name now, including the ones you've started with an emoji.

Export it all
Your goals, your tips and your supporters each export to CSV.
Every export covers whatever you've filtered to, so if you've narrowed things down to one goal or one date range, that's exactly what comes out. The tips export carries the payment reference and whether a tip was refunded, which should make reconciling against a statement a lot easier.
Tell us what you think
Most of the above came from your feedback - the name change, the payment references, the refund breakdown - so please keep it coming! If there's anything that feels wrong, anything missing, anything that doesn't do what you expected, please let us know! Our Twitter/X DMs are the quickest way to reach us, and they're always open.
